I enjoyed sitting on the second floor veranda with some snacks and wine after a long drive. The atmosphere was calm and a nice change from my usual hectic New York life. Breakfast was served daily, giving a good start to the day, and it was nice to find coffee available beforehand. It felt comforting to be in such a historic place.
The internet connection was not working well during my stay, which was a bit disappointing.

Located on the Severn River, the place offers striking views, a relaxing ambiance, and a real sense of history. Don’t miss the fully furnished boathouse with free kayaks for guests; paddling along the tranquil river is a serene experience, though remember to bring bug spray.
Some areas are secluded, resulting in a lack of internet connection during my stay, which might frustrate tech-dependent visitors. While the remoteness adds to the charm, it may feel too disconnected for others looking for constant connectivity.

The location is secluded near a vast body of water. The historic property is beautiful and the staff is friendly. My partner and I enjoyed walking through the gardens, absorbing the atmosphere of earlier times. Breakfast was enjoyable as well. I did notice the boathouse needed attention and the fishing equipment provided was not in good shape, but it was relaxing overall.

If you're a fan of classic fried fish, you're in for a treat! The local seafood is fresh and downright delicious, making for a culinary adventure that's hard to forget. Plus, the Washington Room we stayed in was pure elegance, and breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. The atmosphere of the Inn is a glorious throwback to simpler times, giving you that cozy feeling of being at home.
Now, I gotta mention, the internet connection was a bit spotty during my visit. But hey, who needs Wi-Fi when you’ve got stunning views and the charm of days gone by shining all around you?
